Build a creation panel — the message with a button per category that members click to open a ticket — and post it into a channel with /generate-creation.

A creation panel is the message you post in a channel that lets members open a ticket. It carries one button per category you choose; a click asks the member the category's questions and opens the ticket. Panels are the front door to your support: put one where your members already are, and they can reach you in a single click.

Your server always keeps at least one creation panel; the last one cannot be deleted. Members can also open a ticket by DMing the bot — the panel is the visible, on-server way.

Panels vs. DM tickets

From a panel

A member clicks a category button on a panel in a channel and answers the category's questions. Best for a visible, guided starting point.

By DM

A member direct-messages the bot, picks the server (if they share several with Clarify) and then the category. Always available, no panel needed.

Whichever route a member takes, your team works the ticket the same way.

What a panel is made of

A panel is a blueprint of the type Creation Panel — built in the same card editor as every other Clarify message (see Cards & placeholders). You design the text and layout; Clarify adds the category buttons when the panel is posted.

Message content

The text, headings and layout of the panel. Write a short line explaining what the buttons are for — "Need help? Pick a topic below."

Added automatically when you post the panel: one button per category you select, labelled with the category's emoji and name, in the order of your categories list.

Create and post a panel

Design it in the dashboard

Go to Settings → Panels. Create new opens the card editor; each existing panel shows a Live Preview with Edit and Delete.

Post it from Discord

In your server, run /generate-creation target-channel:#support (support role or administrator). Pick the categories the panel should offer; if you have several panels, pick which one to post.

Test it

Click a button yourself. You are asked the category's inputs (if it has any) and a ticket opens.

A posted panel is a normal message: editing the panel in the dashboard does not change copies already posted. Post it again with /generate-creation and remove the old message. The bot needs permission to send messages in the target channel, and members need to see that channel to use the panel.

What happens when a member clicks

  1. Clarify checks the click: the member must be on this server, must not hold a blacklist role, the category must be open to customers, and the opening hours of that category are applied — with a notice, an Open anyway button, or a refusal.
  2. If the category has inputs, the member fills in its form; otherwise the ticket opens immediately.
  3. The ticket appears where your delivery mode puts it — the customer's DMs, a private thread or a channel — and, with mirroring on, as a thread in the category's forum for your team.
