Getting started
Add Clarify, run onboarding, create a category, and handle your first ticket end to end in a few minutes.

This is the fastest path from nothing to a working ticket. Follow it once, top to bottom, and your team will be relaying real tickets by the end. Each step links to the deeper page if you want the full detail.

You'll need to be an administrator on the Discord server you want to set up.

Add Clarify and sign in

Invite the Clarify bot to your Discord server, then open the dashboard and sign in with Discord. Login uses Discord OAuth, so there's no separate password to manage.

Run onboarding

The first time you open a server in the dashboard, a short four-step wizard runs. Pick your server, choose a setup mode — a preset (Game Server, Community, Shop or Event) that fills sensible defaults, or Manual — then set your support roles and a forum channel for tickets. Finish to land on your dashboard.

Every onboarding field explained: Onboarding.

Create a category with a couple of fields

A category is a ticket type (billing, tech, a report…). Onboarding gives you at least one. For each one, set its forum channel and emoji, then enable a few inputs for the create form — a short text box and a dropdown is plenty to start. These inputs mean every ticket arrives pre-labelled and complete.

See Categories to set up types, and Ticket inputs for the field types you can add.

Let members open a ticket

Members open a ticket two ways: they click a button on a panel you post in a channel, or they DM the bot directly. Add a panel (a message with a button) to a public channel so people know where to start.

Post a button with Panels, and see the whole relay in How Clarify works.

Handle the ticket

Each new ticket opens a thread in your forum channel. Reply there as normal — the bot relays your message straight to the member's DM under your display name. When they reply, it flows back into the thread. Staff never DM from a personal account; the bot is always the middleman.

In the thread, the member's messages arrive under their own name and avatar, so it reads like a normal conversation.

Close it and get a transcript

When the issue is solved, close the ticket. The closing card carries a Transcript button that opens the full conversation, and (by default) the member receives it in their DMs. The Transcripts module decides whether the member is also asked for a rating and where your team keeps a log.

Tune delivery and the rating request in Transcripts.
