Integrations
Create PayPal payment links from a ticket, paid straight to your PayPal account — with automatic confirmation when you use a PayPal REST app, or plain PayPal.Me links without one.

The PayPal integration lets your team request a payment from inside a ticket. /paypal asks for a product, a price and a quantity, sends the customer a Pay link, and posts a status card for your team. With your own PayPal REST app the card flips to Paid as soon as PayPal confirms; with only a PayPal.Me name you still get working links, just without automatic confirmation.

Integrations cost no feature token.

Find it under Integrations → PayPal in the dashboard. Saving and testing require administrator rights on the Discord server.

Connect your PayPal account

Create an app at developer.paypal.com → Apps & Credentials, turn on Accept payments, and paste its Client ID and Secret below. Clarify keeps them encrypted and never shows them again. Payments go straight to your PayPal account.

environment
select
Live or Sandbox (testing). Default: Live. Your Client ID and Secret must come from the app of the same environment.
clientId
secret
The app's Client ID from Apps & Credentials. Encrypted at rest. When editing later, leave it blank to keep the stored value.
clientSecret
secret
The app's Secret. Encrypted, never shown again; leave blank to keep the stored value.
currency
select
The currency of the payment links your team creates — EUR, USD, GBP, CAD or AUD. Default: EUR.
accountLabel
text
An optional label for your own reference.
paypalMeHandle
text
No business account? Leave Client ID and Secret blank and enter the part after paypal.me/. Links work, but payments cannot be confirmed automatically.

Once saved, the page offers Test connection: it checks your keys against PayPal for the chosen environment and, on success, registers the webhook Clarify needs for automatic confirmation. In PayPal.Me mode there is nothing to test, so the check reports as not connected — the links still work.

Using it in a ticket

Run /paypal inside a ticket. The form asks for a Product name, the Amount (unit price) and an optional Quantity. Clarify then:

  • posts a PayPal payment status card for your team — Awaiting payment, with Update status and Pay;
  • sends the customer a Payment requested card with the Pay link;
  • confirms to you whether the customer could be reached, and gives you the link to share otherwise.

A ticket has one open PayPal link at a time. When the customer pays, PayPal notifies Clarify and the card flips to Paid. Update status asks PayPal directly — and completes an approved payment on the way, in case a notification was missed.

With a PayPal.Me name instead of app credentials, the card is a plain Pay link without status tracking. Confirm the payment in your PayPal account.
